Frequently Asked Questions

Does Open House make me a member?
We built Open House for two reasons: 1) to help you explore whether or not God is calling you to Christ Community and 2) to help bring clarity to how Christians are called to function inside the local church as members. While Open House is the first step in our membership process, it absolutely does not commit you to join. Once you’re ready to join Christ Community, you’ll complete a brief membership application and then finalize your membership by meeting with a pastor.
What do you do during Open House?
During Open House, you’ll connect with other newcomers to Christ Community as we walk through key elements of who we are like our mission, values, and beliefs. While we’re together, we’ll talk about things like baptism, membership, and our key ministries. Additionally, we give an overview of how believers can embrace the call to build God’s Kingdom at Christ Community by serving, giving, and living on mission.
What if I have questions during Open House?

Great! We’ve made sure to build in plenty of time for Q&A during each session of Open House. We’re an open book and happy to answer any questions during our time together. Beyond that, we’re happy to connect with you outside of Open House to answer any questions you may have. Feel free to reach out to our Connections Pastor at dylanh@christcommunity.com.

Should I bring my children to Open House?

Open House is designed for adults who are exploring membership at Christ Community. You’re welcome to check your birth-5th grade children into Kids Community, just as you would on a typical Sunday morning. If you have an infant and prefer to keep them with you, that’s absolutely fine.
