We pray, train, send and go for our neighbors to be served by the church and saved by the gospel.

What We Do

As we engage in our mission to make gospel-centered disciples among all people for the glory of God, we go and send to our neighbors and to the nations.

Pray

We believe that the call to missions is a call to pray. Our God hears and responds to the prayers of his people. That’s why we are committed to regularly seeking the Lord in prayer, asking Him to send more laborers into the harvest, to meet the spiritual and physical needs of the lost, and to strenghten the witness of churches in our area.

Train

We know that many have the desire to reach the lost with the gospel, but aren’t really sure where to start. That’s why we’ve developed multiple ministry training opportunities to help people live on mission wherever they are. At Christ Community, you’ll be invited into God’s global mission and prepared to answer that call for the glory of God.

Go

We’re committed to equipping and mobilizing God’s people to advance the gospel to the ends of the earth. Our desire to send and go is rooted in the gospel of Jesus Christ. At Christ Community, you can expect to be prepared and then commissioned out to reach your neighbors and the nations with the good news of the gospel.

Our Strategy

At Christ Community, we have adopted a biblical framework for the missional living every believer is called to as an ambassador of Christ. We aim to see every member of Christ Community engaged in this calling.

Abide

We can do nothing apart from Christ. He is the Vine, and we are the branches. As we abide in Him and His Word, we can bear fruit as He wills.

Entry

Our goal is to find people in need of the gospel, find a means of access to them, and learn the local language in order to communicate with them.

Evangelism

We share the gospel in accordance with Scripture and with the knowledge that there is no salvation apart from hearing and believing the gospel.

Make Disciples

We mentor disciples who are expanding their knowledge of Scripture, experiencing transformation and developing skills in Bible study, prayer and evangelism.

Missional Communities

New churches and missional communities are started to nurture and develop new Christians, provide a place of worship and fellowship and to facilitate the sending of church members to share the gospel with others.

Develop Leaders

We seek to establish healthy and maturing churches who understand, teach and obey the Word of God. To achieve this, we are to train leaders.

Entrust & Exit

We hand responsibility over to local leaders who have been trained and equipped to lead their congregations or groups. Partnership with these groups can continue through visits, prayer, encouragement and coaching.

Receive regular updates from our partners with specific prayer requests.

You can always be praying for these four things:

    • For Lost Neighbors
    • For Felt Needs

In order to serve with us, you must be a church member at Christ Community. Specific opportunities may require additional requirements that we will address when you express interest.

What is Christ Community’s local missions strategy?

We do this work alongside local partners whose ministries focus on showing the love of Jesus and meeting felt needs in our community.

Who should I talk to if I have questions?
Any member of our Missions Team is able and willing to meet with you and help you figure out how to live missionally with us at Christ Community. Click “Email” under any of our team members’ pictures to get in touch with us.
Is the church willing to partner with other local organizations?
Yes! We would love to hear from you about other ways our church might serve our community. Please email one of our Mission Team staff members, and we would love to meet and hear more.
