Happy Thursday! This past Sunday night we held our annual family meeting where we worshiped, celebrated, made some decisions regarding our future, and enjoyed family communion together. It was a unique and special time together.
If you missed the family meeting, you missed a big announcement. I will make the same announcement on Sunday, October 1. You will not want to miss this important Sunday as I’ll be talking more about the future of our church and what the Lord is doing.
At the family meeting, our church approved our new budget amount of $1,445,609. This breaks down to a weekly budget need of $27,800. This is a God-sized budget that only he can meet through our faithful generosity. I encourage you to write these numbers down in your prayer journal and pray daily for the Lord to meet our weekly financial need, as well as the annual budget need. The new budget year begins on October 1. Let’s all plan to show up and give faithfully on that day so we can begin the new budget year off ahead!
This Sunday – Defining Our Future: Missional Multiplication. As Christians, we are called to multiply ourselves in the lives of others for the purpose of mission. The Scriptures compel us to become disciples and then as a disciple, we are to help make other disciples. Our text this coming Sunday is Matthew 28:18-20. Please take time to read it and pray for the Lord to answer prayer, change lives, and move powerfully as we gather to worship him on Sunday.
