Frequently Asked Questions
When you became a member, you made two important commitments. First, you affirmed the Baptist Faith & Message 2000 as our statement of faith. This is the central document that explains our theology and practice. Second, you affirmed your agreement with our membership covenant, indicating your commitment to walking together under the authority of God’s Word, in community with God’s people, and on mission for God’s glory.
Our membership covenant reminds us to:
- Pursue spiritual growth—deepening our faith through personal and family disciplines.
- Engage consistently—committing to worship, church gatherings, and discipleship in biblical community.
- Live Christ-centered lives—reflecting His character, preserving unity, and submitting to godly leadership.
- Give generously, serve faithfully, and support the mission of spreading the gospel locally and globally.
So, why do we renew our covenant? Because it strengthens our church family, helps us shepherd well, and ensures that we’re all actively engaged in the life and mission of Christ Community. It’s also an opportunity for those who’ve been on the fence about membership to take that next step and lock arms with us.
First, we want you to know that there will be plenty of time for every member who wishes to renew their membership covenant to do so.
However, we know that there are occasions when someone on our membership roster has moved away, moved on, or moved into a new season of ministry. In those cases, members are welcome to notify us that they are no longer a part of Christ Community.
If we do not hear from a member by August 3, 2025, they will be formally removed from our member rolls.

Yes! If you’d prefer to renew your membership covenant in person, please stop by Next Steps on a Sunday morning.
No problem! We’d love for you to join Christ Community for the first time!
Although Membership Covenant Renewal is only for current members seeking to renew their membership, there is a very simple pathway to joining Christ Community. To join Christ Community, please attend the next Open House. Learn more about becoming a member at Christ Community by visiting http://www.christcommunity.com/grow-spiritually.
Note: Attempting to complete membership covenant renewal by a person who has not previously joined Christ Community will not grant that person membership.
