Making gospel-centered disciples among all people for the glory of God.
A Church On Mission
Every church is called to fulfill the Great Commission. At Christ Community, we believe God has called us to build God’s Kingdom through five key initiatives.
We Make Disciples
At Christ Community, it’s all about the gospel. In fact, we exist to make gospel-centered disciples among all people for the glory of God. In the Great Commission, Jesus commands his disciples to invite anyone who would trust in the gospel into a relationship with him; he commands them to make disciples. In every ministry, service, and interaction, we lead with the gospel, working diligently to ensure that every person who attends Christ Community has the opportunity to hear it and respond in faith.
We Equip the Church
Every church is tasked with developing disciples who are mature in their faith. That means helping people trust Christ, grow in their understanding of His Word, walk in obedience, and live on mission. That’s why we’ve created the Discipleship Pathway. At Christ Community, we’ll call you up to believe the gospel, belong to the church, become like Christ, and build God’s Kingdom. Regardless of where you are in your walk with God, we want to help you discern and take your next step of obedience.
We Develop Church Leaders
We believe that the local church is to serve as the training ground for the next generation of pastors, missionaries, and church leaders. God has given us a passion for calling out the called and developing them into qualified, experienced ministers of the gospel. Through our ministry residency and internship programs, we’ve crafted spaces to give evaluated experience to those God is preparing for a lifetime of ministry.
We Plant & Revitalize Churches
We believe that the Church is God’s “Plan A” for carrying out his plan of redemption. Moreover, the local church is the God-given context for our spiritual growth and community. Statistically, we know that there are nowhere near enough churches (even in our own city) to reach the entire population, which is why we’ve committed to being starting new churches and strengthening struggling churches at Christ Community. Every time a new congregation is planted, a new area with new people receive a new opportunity to hear and respond to the gospel!
We Train & Send Missionaries
Throughout the Bible, Christians are commanded to share the gospel. God’s Word has made it clear that the gospel is meant to be sent, preached, heard, and received by faith. Ultimately, the Church is called to spread the gospel to the ends of the earth. At Christ Community, we’re committed to identifying, training, and sending missionaries who will proclaim the gospel wherever they go. Whether it’s across the street, across the nation, or across the world, our desire to train and send gospel messengers into dark places with the hope of the good news of Jesus Christ.
