Making gospel-centered disciples among all people for the glory of God.

What Kind Of Disciples?

Gospel-Centered Disciples

We believe Jesus transforms lives. We are reminded daily that we’ve been set free from sin and condemnation, and should live in this freedom. Salvation is a gift from God, received through faith in Christ, not something we work for. Because of this, we are called to live out the gospel of grace in our personal lives and with those around us.

The gospel changes how we live and love. The gospel message calls us to follow the greatest commandments: Love God with all your heart, soul, and mind, and love your neighbor as yourself. The power of the gospel compels us to love God and others deeply, living out our faith in obedience to these commands.

Where We Do It?

Among All People

We are called to share the gospel with all people, everywhere. This mission starts here in our own community, extending throughout the Lake Norman region, and ultimately, to the ends of the earth. We are to multiply and mobilize God’s people to pray, give, and go, bringing the gospel even to the hardest places. Our goal is to see the gospel take root and grow into healthy, multiplying churches.

Scripture makes this clear: God has called his people to declare God’s glory among all nations (Psalm 96:3), sharing the gospel across the world (Matthew 24:14), and living as gospel witnesses as we carry out God’s missions (Acts 1:8). Our desire is to see people from every tribe, tongue, and nation gathering around the throne of God, worshipping the name of Jesus for all eternity.

Why We Do It?

For The Glory Of God

Above all else, we seek to make disciples for the glory of God. Through the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus, God has made a way for us to come to Him. In response, we are called to live our lives in a way that brings Him glory. Scripture shows that everything God does is for the glory of His name and the spread of the gospel.

As followers of Christ, we are called to let our light shine, so that others may see our good works and glorify God (Matthew 5:16). Our aim is to invite others into a relationship where they can know Christ and the power of His resurrection, living in obedience and reflecting His glory (Philippians 3:10).  At Christ Community, our desire is to honor the Lord in all that we do as we carry out the command to make gospel-centered disciples among all people.

Discipleship Pathway

Believe

The Gospel

A relationship with God begins by faith in the gospel: the good news that Jesus Christ died as a substitute and rose from the grave to redeem sinners.

Belong

To The Church

The Christian life works best when believers are rooted in their local church community with other believers, growing in the gospel and sharing it with others.

Become

Like Jesus

Jesus Christ is our perfect standard. We believe Christians grow spiritually by imitating Jesus, studying his word, and applying it to their daily lives.

Build

God’s Kingdom

Every follower of Christ is tasked with building God’s Kingdom by sharing the gospel, strengthening the Church, and reaching the nations for the glory of God.
